Gemma comes in.. "Jayde! Hi." Hug. "I just came to talk to you."
"But.. You? How?"
"A bit of magic and our being twins helps." Gemma dumps out a whole lot of stuff about helping Jayde and Mary not fight and conflict being bad for the 'good' side.
Jayde doesnt seem convinced and says, "Look, ill listen to you if you do me a favor. Get alex to call me."
Gemma asks Jayde to talk to her, but Jayde doesnt trust her and wont say jack.
Jayde asks Michael to remove Gemma. Gemma wont move, so Jayde 'sister handles' her out of the room.
Jayde asks Arden about Gemma's aura. He says shes happy or atleast in calm and tune with her aura. Jayde looks at him funny like.
Michael says its probably a good idea to move hotels. Jayde agrees. People start packing.
Get in car. Drive around.
The pale and unhappy looking Lucy says she needs a new host, but 'hers' is in Berlin and something is blocking the city from magic zotting. Chuv's is in Berkeley tho in the student halls. Lucy gives the necklate to Arden and says that she'll understand if shown this.
Michael and Jayde will go and get this host: Stacey Jenkins. Look around the hall and find her in the computer room working with some Egyptian stuff. Our goofy gang show her the necklace and Stacey hops up and immediatly gets ready. They meet her down in the foyer.
Stacey babbles on a bit about the paper that she's writing. Something about Tutencamun and other names and stuff.
Stacey rants some more about how wonderful Chuv was to get the necklace from George and stuff. Jayde just looks out the window, hoping for a demon attack. Stacey keeps ranting about Chuv and George, and how it was just so wonderful, and that she didnt really believe that Chuv was dead.
Arriving at the hotel and going into the room, Stacey is shocked and appalled to see Lucy in the room.
Stacey is obviously nervious but Lucy chats to her about Chuv's experiances in Egypt. There is some questioning etc and then Stacey seems to settle down.
Lucy chats to Jayde about posession/hosting and how its not like vampires or Conrad. Its a merging not a take over.
Chatting some more, it seems that Lucy was origionally Roman and. Lucy requests that her old host be buried.
Lucy goes off about what the Golden Dawn offers. What the council wants and what the War council wants. Dont close the gates, gain technology and magical power, then become powerful.
Jayde thinks about it.
Lucy said she was more sure of Mary than Jayde joining her side, and then she analyses Jayde some, much to Jayde's annoyance.
Lucy chats about her background and how she's had 5 hosts in her life. She says that as a little bit of a rebel when she was young and that her family were healers, so naturally she joined the temple of the god of war. Then she chats a bit out how she helped barbarians attack Rome, so she's made some mistakes in her choices too.
Lucy talks about the ritual. Arden, Lucy and Stacey go and get their stuff together for the host transfer ritual.
Jayde, Faith and Michael rest in the motel room.
Knock at the door. Its the police. Faith runs to the bathroom.
Police rock in and take michaels gun. There was a report of someone with a gun in the hotel. They pad down J and M and extract F from the bathroom. The get the gun and F's knife and search the place.
"Check out this load of weapons. We gotta call this in."
Faith is "Not going back to prison".
Jayde says, "just sit tight, they dont have anything on us."
Older cop comes in and ok's michael's gun, but is going to take them in for the weapons and the case.
Jayde can overhear the conversation.
Michael is explaining that he is Jaydes bodyguard and that he feels that its safest that his client is hidden in a motel. The policeman says that he is suspicious about the weapons and the case.
The police id comes in and Faith is tagged as voilating parole. The cops grab her and take her to the door and she elbows him and runs off. Two cops give chase and two others handcuff J and M and take them in.
Jayde and Michael are arrested for aiding Faith.
Jayde waits for her chance and then elbows her handcuffer. Jayde spins and misses. The cop draws the gun. Jayde kicks the gun out of her hands and then punches her out.
Michael throws his cop and grabs the gun, ammo, radio and handcuffs him.
Check out the other room, but come up blank.
Take the police car. Back out and freak hotel manager. Drive off.
Call Arden. Someone took stacey. He ran away. Decide to pick him up at a local landmark.
"Big teeth. Monster. Took stacey. Punched lucy off the bed. I ran away. Flew away. Monster took stacey. Lucy is dead."
"Did the ritual finsh?"
"Dont know. Big teeth." Arden is definatly shellshocked.
Arden says we should go look for Stacey. Jayde is so over doing magic in 'safe places'.
Faith calls. Jadye: "Convince me I should talk to you."
"This whole I look after you until you get made into a slayer thing isnt working."
"Lets call it quits then."
"I guess I just dont want someone so impulsve to be a slayer weather your on my side or not."
"Ill deal with it myself then."
"Ok. I hope it doesnt come down to you or me."'
*click*
Decide to find an empty factory and do a locate Stacey ritual.
Get some supplies and then break into the factory.
Gemma calls, switched to message bank.
Arden seems calmer and more in control.
Do spell. See Stacey in room with 6 other people. Arden identifies 3 vamps, 2 humans and a demon. Arden says "so thats who we're dealing with."
A vamp turns Stacey. Demon says "we may have been had. Call THorgrold." Big teethy demon comes in. Arden doesnt seem worried. Demon says, "You _DEFINATLY_ waited for the ritual to complete?"
"Ug say yes."
"Get the circle on the location spell again."
Vamp Stacey wakes up and rips free. Vamps pin her. She swears like a sailor. "Im gunna hunt her down and tear her a new..."
Demon says "Take her and feed her."
Float away back to the factory.
Arden says that he knows the demons that they're dealing with. Arden is sounding very logical.
"If lucy is dead and stacy doesnt have lucy then is lucy floating around?"
"If the host dies, so does the entity."
"So where is Lucy?"
Arden smiles a very Lucy like smile.
Lucy tries to explain why she's in Arden. She says that she decided it was safest. She explains that atleast they know who is behind it now.
The Haitian voodoo god of war, fire, politics, iron, and thunderbolts. He is the patron god of smiths' fire. The machete or sable is his attribute. Ogoun is especially fond of rum and tobacco.
Lucy/Arden does a protection spell around the factory.
Michael wants to get things worked out with the police. Talk about all the options, but cant find anyone to sell out. Michael willing to deal with it, but he doesnt trust lucy.
Decide to frame Jonathan for stalking and threatening Jayde. He burnt the library, and his home and he's be stalking Jayde. Decide that maybe he is a psycho and alex was studying him.
Plan is go to the police station and dump the car and sort it out. Leave AL here at the factory.
AL rants about talking to conrad and working out who is working against 'us'.
Michael talks to jayde about not liking Lucy on the way to the police station. She's a chess master, playing with pawns and trying to play a game where she ends up on top. Michael rants about his previous experiances with these kind of people.
Lots of ranting tonight.
Go into police station and talk to detective in an interview room. Michael chats a lot to the police about why he's protecting Jayde from Jonathan.
Police question Jayde about stuff. Bag of weapons? Michaels. Physical evidence against Jonathan? Cant remember, talk to Michael. What happened after taking the car? Drove around for a while and then chatted and decided it was dumb.
Detectives confer and decide to put jayde into protective custody until it is sorted out. Protective custody for you!!
Michael says no. Police say report back here 2pm tomorrow.
Check messages. "Office attacked. Alex dead." Ring Gemma, Christian answers. Attack. Alex dead. Gemma hurt. Watchers killed. Henry injured.
Alex's phone has the wrong number for Jayde.
Christian takes Jaydes number.
Jayde heads off home.
Break the news to dad about Gemma and Alex.
David calls hospitals looking for Gem. Jayde chats to DMS to see if he knows where Gemma is.
DMS: doesnt know. He knows that Gem was quite upset about Mary/Jayde and was going to some meeting to sort it out. Doesnt tell D about G.
Call the office, get Christian again. Get watcher number.
Dad pops back with a hospital address. Dad and J go, michael too.
Dad asks if he can help and what happpened. SHould he be getting a body guard for gemma too.
Find Gemma in the hospital. G gives some story about falling off a chair at uni. Once the medics go, Gemma says that the office was attacked by vamps and she cant remember much after fighting one of the vamps on the table. The watcher finished the outline of the story.
Conclusion: its a dumb and pathetic effort.
Michael doesnt think that its good that the watchers were targetted.
M & J head off into the night like caped avengers.
Cynthia (Ardens mum) calls. Something about a astral travel spell. Huh.
Call Arden on staceys phone. Loud music, buzz. He's in a tatoo parlor.
Jayde goes in and stares dissaprovingly. "She dumped you didnt she?"
"Nooo. No she's still here."
Arden says the tat was a good idea.
The tattooist finishes and Jayde punches Arden in the arm as they are leaving.
Arden tries to explain about the tat and the God Mars, but it all falls down with the 'after a couple of drinks' line. Arden doesnt really remember much along the way.
Arden talks about astral combat and fighting the spirit that following us.
He says that Lucy doesnt want to hurt Jayde, but she is heading to war.
Arden calls his mum.
Michael wonders about who the target was.
